Rain. These little droplets of water falling from above. Little round droplets as they pitter-patter. Breaking the silence. They might bounce back. They might melt in the ponds of water. They sprinkle your face. They make you feel fresh. Wet.
Today's BinspiratioNZ sprang from a walk by the beautiful beach in Murrays Bay... in the rain. :) We love to hang out there. Truly inspirational.
I never liked rain before. Maybe just the light summer sprinkle... Observing the rain by the ocean opened up new horizons. It is definitely not the feeling I associate with the battering city rain when you rush, trying to escape under a roof seeking shelter. It is definitely not the rain that makes your shoes and clothes soaked in water... Uncomfortable. Stressed. Very wet.
Being by the beach completely changed my perception of rain. Definitely for the better!
Now. Water everywhere around me. Water falling from the sky and becoming more water in the ocean. The gentle sound of the rain droplets and the waves washing the shores, splashing the rocks. The intense, salty scent of water. The grey, foggy mist. The mighty green Pohutukawa trees that fade away in the greyness. Calmness. Peace. A heartwarming feeling of joy. In the cold.
I am starting to enjoy rain actually. It is beautiful out there.
Listen, watch, observe.
Whatever it may be... you might just need a different perspective to change your mind :)
