What makes someone confident? Look, act, but first and foremost, truly FEEL confident. Deep inside. Solid, as a rock. Beautiful and unique as each and every seashell on the shore.

What makes you believe in yourself? Believe that you are worth it? That you are good enough? That you are doing it right? Despite comments, despite pressure, despite “good practices”, despite trying to do everything at your best, sometimes consuming every single bit of your energy and at the end not even finding the so-wanted, liberating. Relief. Acknowledgment. Appraisal. Merit. Love. You name it. 

Today is the first day of summer in New Zealand and in the Southern Hemisphere...

We arrived in the middle of winter. Rain, sunshine, sometimes 4 seasons in one day. We had it all! But what you can never have enough of is rainbows. :) During the past few months, we have seen probably the most rainbows in a row in our whole entire life! So many in such a relatively short time.

Have I told you that my favourite colour is rainbow? :)))

I have to admit that I am an absolute beach lover. There is nothing compared to this feeling of joy I feel when I walk on a beach. Watching the rippling waves wash the shore. Their white edges curl and smoothen by the time they reach the shallow bays. Watch the horizon where the clear blue sky meets the wild water - often in mist. Find the reflection of the puffy clouds under me. Hunt for treasures and maze at the shape and colour of each shell. Pick them up, read their story.

Have you ever felt this excitement when you set off to discover a new place? When the adventurer and the curious in you seeks something new? When you want to get to know the place a little bit more than just as described in the guides? To walk around and check out the locals? When you can't wait to peek into the next street and get around the next corner to see where the road will take you? When the little voice deep inside you shouts: "Feel the city!!! Observe!!!" And with every step you take, you get a shot of adrenalin in your body? No exact destination, just wandering around without really getting lost? Let me show you what I discovered in Auckland city today :)

We love hiking! We love nature! Happily, we have friends who love hiking and nature, too. :) They took us to our 1st real walk since we are "back" to New Zealand, a really great 10km, the Te Henga Walkway just north-west of Auckland. It is incredible that within less than an hour’s drive, you can literally escape the buzz of a big city and find yourself in the middle of some of the wildest beaches of the West Coast, with some jaw-dropping vistas over the cliffs and plenty of green bush around you. Oh how much I missed this feeling! New Zealand, I love you, have I told you? :)
