This is my tribute to Rangitoto. The landmark. The icon. I have been watching this view, this volcano, this beach for over a year now. Looking at it. Passing by it. Enjoying it. Every single day.
Constant change. And never-ending permanence. Colours, seasons, clouds go by. Yet, this beautiful volcano, always the same. Rising strong. No matter what. Between sky and the sea. It taught me a lot. About life. And how I (decide to) see things. It's been an endless source of my inspiration. This is my collection of his many faces. I hope you enjoy. :)

Haven't posted these for a while. Missed them. Here is the newest one. :)
Inspired by Tolkien's wisdom. And Doubtful Sound. The Mount. Located somewhere in paradise, at the very end of the road leading through a narrow peninsula. In the heart of the Bay of Plenty. Majestically dominating the land. Captivating, iconic, round. One of its kind.
Once you make it to the top, what you see will definitely blow your mind. Spectacular. Incomparable. Pristine. I'm not kidding, seriously, this is the view from the top. Been there, climbed it, saw it. Magical. Join me for one of New Zealand's most popular summit walks? Let's go! :) My love to travel. To be on the road over and over again. A way of life. And sensations born within.
Travelling. Short term. Long term. Alone, with friends, with family. To the shop around the corner. To the end of the world. Across cultures, continents. To a destination. Through a stage of life. Travelling genuinely shapes me. Been on the road my entire life. But what does travelling really give me? The storm is coming... Pure, devastating, wild. And wet. No escape...
The dark revealed. Inside. Outside. Torn apart, washed away... The water flows. Connects the sky with the earth. Waves form. Mist. Mystery. Motion... Today I am bringing you a beautiful sunrise over the Rangitoto volcano in Auckland. The first rays of light start to shine around 6 am at this time of the year over the horizon. Spring equinox was actually today - meaning day and night are about equal in length all around the world, and the days are getting longer day by day. We are heading more and more into spring here, while the Northern Hemisphere is gearing up for some of the last sunny days of autumn. |
